First Benefits offers a comprehensive list of voluntary benefits, and because we are independent agents, we represent many insurance companies. We believe in providing our Clients with the most benefits for the least cost, and from only quality insurance companies.

Our 7-Step Process for Offering Voluntary Benefits

    1. Determine the Benefits most Suitable for a group or groups of employees
    2. Source the Benefits that offer the most value for the least cost (this is very important to insure success of a voluntary program because of employee's perceived value!)
    3. Determine Enrollment Logistics, including methods of enrollment (online, in person, Voice Response Systems, large/small group meetings, time frames, personnel needed etc.)
    4. Determine Service Logistics, including support, new employees, terminated employees and re-enrollments
    5. Test Enrollment. When necessary for larger groups, and then we modify the process for optimal benefits communications and employee satisfaction
    6. Execute the Master Enrollment
    7. Follow-up including Questionnaires, Service and Support

Our Rules for Offering Voluntary Benefits

  • Never be pushy. If communicated effectively, our products will sell themselves to employees who need them.
  • Do not oversell individual employees. We like to visit year after year and to have employees invest in small amounts of benefits each year.
  • Always be professional, courteous and accessible to the Employees.
  • Minimize any work disruptions while communicating voluntary benefits.
  • Offer the best benefits available to match the needs of the Client.
